Puri: Darshan of the Holy Trinity in Puri’s Jagannath Temple will be restricted for four hours on Monday for the Paitalagi Niti ritual of Lord Jagannath. As per the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), the darshan of the Lords will be restricted from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm after the second Bhogamandap tomorrow.
The Paitalagi Niti of Mahaprabhu is performed to protect the sandalwood that is applied on the idols daily.
Since this is a secret ritual, darshan of the deities is closed for the devotees.
