Bhubaneswar: Pakhala is Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s one of the most favourite part of the Odia cuisine. One of the staple foods of Odisha denizens featured in CM’s list in a video that is part of a promo by Odisha Tourism titled ‘Ama Ghara Ama Handishala’.
The video posted ahead of the muted Independence Day celebrations shows Patnaik speaking about his love for the Odis cuisine.
“Odisha is the land of Lord Jagannath, who Himself is a Chhapanbhogi. I have a special liking for Odia festivals, different pithas and food of Odisha. I prefer to serve only Odia food to the guests visiting my residence. Odia cuisine has its own identity and I like Pakhala the most,” he says in the video.
Chairperson of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) Shreemayee Sweta Snigdha Mishra shared the video on her Twitter handle while tagging the CM himself.
