Panel On Administrative Reforms Reviews Strategies For ‘Viksit Odisha’ Targets

Bhubaneswar: The Administrative System and Governance Reform Committee, constituted by the Odisha Government to steer the state toward its Viksit Odisha 2036 and 2047 vision targets, held a detailed discussion with Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja at Lok Seva Bhawan on Thursday.

The committee, chaired by Jugal Kishore Mohapatra, met the Chief Secretary along with members O.P. Agrawal and T.M. Vijay Bhaskar to deliberate on various aspects of administrative strengthening, policy implementation, and governance reforms necessary to realise Odisha’s long-term development goals.

Senior officials including Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue and Disaster Management) Deoranjan Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (General Administration and Public Grievances) Surendra Kumar, and Director of the Centre for Modernising Government Initiative (CMGI) Vineet Bhardwaj were also present during the meeting.

The discussions focused on improving efficiency in governance, modernising administrative processes, and aligning departmental strategies with the state’s 2036 and 2047 development roadmaps.

The Administrative System and Governance Reform Committee was formed by the state government to recommend structural and process-level reforms that can help Odisha achieve sustainable and inclusive growth in line with its Viksit Bharat vision.
