Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped the visitors and staff at the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar after a Royal Bengal Tiger escaped from a fence inside the tiger safari on Thursday.
Reportedly, the Bengal Tiger named Suraj broke through the fence inside the safari. The authorities immediately raised an alarm after they failed to find the big cat inside the safari.
Zoo authorities immediately swung into action to ensure the safety of the visitors. The tiger was later spotted roaming inside the safari. A great danger was averted due to the presence of mind and awareness shown by the zoo staff.
