Cuttack: Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has been elected as the President of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) unopposed. He assumed the responsibility of the President with full commitment, effective immediately ¹.
Mohanty outlined his plans, stating, “I will coordinate with the new government to expedite the stadium renovation work that was left pending from the previous government within seven to eight months. I will strive to accomplish whatever is feasible for me.”
He also announced plans to establish a cricket academy in Puri, which will provide training to players 365 days a year. Mohanty expressed his optimism, saying, “If children receive training at our own academy, we can produce skilled players within the next two to three years.”
Additionally, Mohanty mentioned that elections for the post of Vice President will be held again. He also addressed the recent floodlight issues, stating that the OCA has provided clarification to the government regarding the incident. To prevent similar incidents, Mohanty announced that two generators will be installed near each floodlight point
