Puri: Several members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Urban Development which arrived here last evening led by its chairperson Jagdambika Pal, visited the Shree Jagannath temple today and had a darshan of the Lords.
Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, who is also a member of the committee, visited the temple yesterday to seek blessings of the Lords.
Later in the day, the committee will have an assessment session of various urban development projects under the National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY), solid and liquid waste management and AMRUT scheme at the Mayfair Hotel here, said official sources.
As per the itinerary, the committee will leave Puri tomorrow morning.
