Passengers flush Rs 4.11 Lakhs In Rajdhani Express Toilet, 3 Detained

**Bhubaneswar: ** In a shocking incident, the railway police have recovered Rs 4 lakhs 11 thousand from the toilet of New Delhi Rajdhani Express in Bhubaneswar Station after the currencies were flushed by a passenger of the train.

The currencies were mostly in 500 and 1000 denominations and Rs. 48000 in new denomination. The police have detained 3 passengers in this connection. They are identified as Samrat Keshari Jena, Manas Kar and Baruna Mallick hailing from Pattamundai village of Kendrapada district.

The police had to take help of a train sweeper to get the currencies dumped in the train toilet’s flush bin.

It is learnt that the Bhubaneswar railway police got information from Kharagpur income tax department regarding few passengers carrying unaccounted currencies and they were been put under surveillance by the police.

Apparently, the accused passengers who were travelling from Delhi with black money flushed it in toilet when they feared of being caught.
One of the arrested passenger is believed to be a congress worker.
