Bhubaneswar: The 2nd batch of Passing-Out Parade of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) probationers was held at Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA) here today in a befitting manner.
A total of 16 DSP probationers completed their two years of basic course training. They were directly recruited to the Odisha Police Force (OPS) after clearing the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) examination.
During these two years, they received training in criminal Major Acts, special and local laws, criminology, crime prevention, among others. They also had ample field training when they were sent at various districts and for hand-on experience they were also exposed to the work atmosphere at different State and Central organizations.
Of all the 16 DSP probationers, five were successful in various domains and were awarded accordingly by Director General of Police (DGP), Odisha, BK Sharma.
Himansu Bhusan Behera was awarded with the Governor’s medal as Best Probationer and a trophy of in Indoor subjects. Dillip Kumar Das received trophy for second Best Probationer, trophy for second best in outdoor studies and NICFS medal for securing highest mark in forensic studies. KK Har Prasad, Satyavikash Bhuyan, and Snehashish Sahoo too received awards in various disciplines.
