Bhubaneswar: As FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 is being played in Odisha, the State is in the grip of hockey fever.
A pastry artist of Begunia in Khordha district Rakesh Kumar Sahoo and chocolate artist Subhalaxmi have sculpted a beautiful replica sculpture of the Hockey World Cup Trophy using 8 kg of Belgium chocolate.
Eight Bakery Diploma students of ‘Club Chocolate’ have helped Rakesh and Subhalaxmi in sculpting the chocolatey marvel.
Rakesh and Subhalaxmi have dedicated the sculpture to the Indian Hockey Team and Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik.
Two years back the duo had carved a beautiful sculpture of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of the latter’s birthday using 72 kg of Belgium chocolate.
Last year they had sculpted an idol of Lord Ganesh on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi using a quintal of Belgium chocolate.
