Bhubaneswar: The State Government has earned Rs 99,66,145 from 3,71,990 visitors visiting Pathani Samanta Planetarium in the last four years.
It was informed by Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra in the Odisha Assembly while responding to a query by BJD legislator Souvik Biswal.
The Minister said that the planetarium had drawn 11,015 visitors in 2020-21 amid Covid-19 protocol with a collection of Rs 2,99,445.
Similarly, 54,787 people had visited to the planetarium in 2021-22. The government had collected Rs 14,44,265 from them by selling entry tickets.
Patra further informed that the government had earned Rs 43,46,205 from 1,75,836 visitors in 2022-23 while the number of visitors came down to 1,30,352 in 2023-24 so also the collected amount of Rs 38,76230.
