Rourkela: A 45-year-old man committed suicide on the premises of the Government hospital here on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Sahar Jhara, a native of Kuanramunda.
Jhara was admitted to the hospital with a broken leg and was undergoing treatment for the fracture. On Saturday night he hung himself with a towel on the premises of the hospital.
According to reports, Jhara was mentally disturbed following disturbances in his family life. The family members suspect he committed the extreme act under depression.
Raghunathpali police have registered a case in this matter and sent the body of the deceased for autopsy.
