Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the imminent by-poll to the Patkura Assembly Constituency in politically sensitive Kendrapara Parliamentary Constituency on July 20, BJD supremo-cum-Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held today a meeting at his residence (Naveen Niwas).
Party insiders revealed that it was convened to chalk out the strategy since Patkura assembly seat holds utmost significance amid the current political scenario.
The vital parley was attended by senior BJD MLAs and Patkura party candidate Sabitri Agarwalla’s son Sanjay. Prominent among others were Athagarh MLA and Minister Ranendra Pratap (Raja) Swain, Bhatli MLA and Minister Sushant Singh, former Kendrapara MLA Kishore Tarai and Mahakalapada (Kendrapara) MLA and former Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.
In his media reactions, Sanjay Agarwalla (son of Patkura’s ex-MLA late Bed Prakash Agarwalla) said, “Patkura is not a challenge for us. We’ll easily win. The party supremo had convened this meeting to infuse more confidence in us. Report was sought on the party organisation at the grassroots level.”
