Patnagarh Parcel Bomb Tragedy Case: 3-Member SIT Leaves For Raipur To Trace Killer

**Bhubaneswar: ** As Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has last week ordered for Crime Branch (CB) probe into the sensational wedding gift parcel bomb killings in Bolangir district’s Patnagarh a month ago and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of State Crime Branch has been formed with immediate effect, a three-member team of the SIT on Tuesday left for Raipur in neighbouring Chhattisgarh for further investigation that could lead to the murderer.

According the CB sources, the sender of the ‘killer wedding gift parcel’ had visited another courier agency prior to dispatching it through Skyking courier.

Investigation has also revealed that the unidentified sender was communicating in both Odia and Hindi. It implies, the criminal hails from Odisha.

Following such a remarkable lead, the 3-member Crime Branch SIT rushed to Raipur for further probe in this connection. The fatal parcel was sent to Patnagarh through Skyking courier in Raipur.

Notably, the wedding gift parcel explosion has killed the newly-wed groom and his grandmother while his critically injured wife is recovering in Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Last week, her parents and in-laws had met the Chief Minister at Naveen Niwas here while the very next day, survivor Reema Sahu appealed the Chief Minister through media for a thorough probe and speedy justice. The culprits are yet to be traced and booked even though the heinous crime has been committed over a month from now.
