People From Across Odisha Thank CM Majhi For His People-Friendly Budget

Bhubaneswar: After Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mohan Charan Majhi tabled the full-fledged budget for the year 2024-25 in the Odisha Assembly on Thursday, the general public and representatives of social organizations from different parts of the state came to meet him at the State Guest House and expressed their warm greetings. Especially, farmers and office bearers of women’s organizations came in large numbers.

Everyone was happy and satisfied with the provisions made in the budget. That is why people from all over the state came to Bhubaneswar to express their gratitude to the Chief Minister.

From far-off Malkangiri to Mayurbhanj and from Bargarh to Puri, various organizations and common people came from all the districts of the state. People also came from most of the Wards of Bhubaneswar. Among them were members of farmers’ organizations, women’s organizations, artists’ organizations and self-help groups.

People opined that the budget was people-oriented in all respects and benefited all sections of the people. They opined that the budget will be very helpful, especially in the field of economic development and welfare of farmers and women. The Chief Minister spoke to everyone personally and also discussed the benefits they have received in the budget.

Farmers and women were most pleased with the one-time increase of Rs 800 in the minimum support price of paddy and the Subhadra Yojana.

Farmers and workers of women’s organizations came in large numbers today. They were all very happy. Farmers from Bargarh district came in large numbers. A one-time increase of Rs 800 in the minimum support price of paddy has come as a boon for them. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, they said that what the Chief Minister said had followed it in letter and spirit.

Similarly, women were also very happy with Subhadra Yojana. Women’s organizations from different parts of the state thanked the Chief Minister for the assistance of Rs 50,000. It will be very helpful for our financial independence, they said. They said that it will play an important role in empowering our women and expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister.

Among the crowd in the State Guest House was Lokesh Parsingh Bariha. He is the descendant of martyr Madho Singh. He is a resident of Ghes area of ​​Bhatli in Bargarh district.

Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister today, he said that it is a pleasure to implement a scheme in the name of our forefather who made the greatest sacrifice for the country. He said that is why he came from Bargarh to thank the Chief Minister. By this, the future of the children will be bright and the children will also get an opportunity to know more about the freedom fighters, he added.

Among the crowd was 85-year-old Purnachandra Pradhan from Kapilaprasad in Bhubaneswar. He was accompanied by his wife. Both came to thank the Chief Minister for increasing their allowances. He said earlier we were getting Rs 1000 and now we will get Rs 3500.  They blessed the Chief Minister. He said that we have never met any Chief Minister so closely or received such a warm welcome.

The people of Keonjhar Ghatagaon are very happy. The Chief Minister’s budget has made provision of Rs 50 crore for the development of Maa Tarini temple. Along with this, the Chief Minister has promised to take steps to get Ghatgaon in the national tourist map. That’s why today hundreds of people came from Keonjhar Ghatgaon and expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.

An elderly woman Niladri Digal from Bhubaneswar Ward No-27 came to thank the Chief Minister to express her happiness for the increase in allowances. She blessed the Chief Minister.

Today members of Farmers’ Organization of Dhamnagar, Bargarh, Ghatgaon, and Pipili, Artists’ Association of Bargarh, Odisha Abhibhabak Mahamanch, Shaheed Narsingh Dom Samaj of Malkangiri, members of State Mahila Morcha and Bhubaneswar Zilla Mahila Morcha and general public of Ward No. 19, 28, 30, 33, 34, 37, 40, 42, 43, 46, 47 and 65, members of Shaheed Nagar Durga Puja Samiti, Shaheed Nagar Hata Byabasayee Sangh, Paramedical Association, members of Self Help Groups and Surat Odia Welfare Association and members of more than 50 organizations met the Chief Minister.
