Bhubaneswar: People living in cyclone shelters will be provided with cooked food for the next 15 days, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after an aerial review of the affected districts on Saturday.

Patnaik today went on an aerial review of the devastation caused by the extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI in Puri, Khurda, Jajpur and Kendrapara.

Addressing mediapersons after conducting a high-level meeting in this regard at the State Secretariat, Patnaik said, "People in the cyclone shelters will be provided cooked food for the next 15 days and electricity and drinking water is being worked on a war-footing so that it be provided to the people very soon."

The Chief Minister further said that he has also contacted the Telecom Ministry for restoration of communication networks in the affected districts.
