**Bhubaneswar:** Rescue works to evacuate the people stranded in various parts of the State, due to severe flood-like situation triggered by torrential rain, is being carried out diligently by the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and Odisha Fire Services personnel.
IG of Police (Law & Order), Amitabh Thakur, informed that around 50 persons trapped at Kashipur village in Bhubaneswar were rescued by the joint team today. Rescue operations are also being carried out in Mathili area of Malkangiri district.
Odisha DGP RP Sharma is personally monitoring the rescue operations from Cuttack. Around 20 ODRAF teams and police personnel of all the districts have been deployed at various areas for rescue and relief work.
