People Will Not Accept False Propaganda: Dibya Shankar Mishra

Bhawanipatna: Minister of State for Home, Dibya Shankar Mishra, who is being targeted by the opposition BJP and Congress in Odisha for the past few days over the Mamita Meher murder case, has stated that people would not accept the false propaganda against him.

Attending an event at Karanjkot village under Nuagaon gram panchayat in Golamunda block of Kalahandi district on Monday, Mishra said that people of his constituency know him well, no matter how much the opposition conspired. The truth never remains hidden.

He said that false propaganda has greatly troubled him and his family, however, he has always served the people and will continue to do so in the days to come.

Mishra further termed the allegation raised by Congress MLA Santosh Singh Saluja as funny and baseless. Saluja had alleged that the Minister was staying in Raipur from September 20 to 23 and negotiating between Mamita and her murderer Govind Sahu.

However, Mishra clarified that he was in Kantabanji on the night of September 21. On September 22 he was sharing the dais at the Chief Minister’s program in Patnagarh. And he had been distributing Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) health cards in several panchayats of Kantabanji constituency till September 25.
