PG Student Killed In Bike Accident In Sambalpur

Bhubaneswar: A second-year postgraduate student from Sambalpur University tragically lost his life in a road accident late on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sahil Pradhan, a resident of Kurla village in Bargarh district. Pradhan was pursuing a Master’s degree in Biotechnology at the university.

According to reports, the incident occurred when Sahil was returning to his hostel on his motorcycle. He reportedly lost control of the bike and crashed into a tree. As a result of the impact, he fell from the bike and sustained severe injuries.

His friends rushed him to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The tragic news has created an atmosphere of mourning at Sambalpur University, where students and faculty are deeply shocked by the untimely loss.
