Malkangiri: Two persons were killed and five sustained seroius injuries after a goods pick-up van overturned here on Friday. The mishap took place at Badaliguda under Kalimela police limits.
The people on the vehicle were from MV 29 village. They had gone to sell Kendu leaves at the Bhejangbada mandi. The road accident occured while they were returning home. The driver lost control on the wheels following which the vehicle overturned.
The injured have been shifted to Kalimela hospital. Two among them succumbed at the hospital. Police have seized the vehicle and registered a case in this connection.
