Cuttack: An Odisha-based NGO today filed a PIL (public interest litigation) in the Orissa High Court seeking a probe into the financial transactions of alleged blackmailer and extortionist Archana Nag by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The petitioner has sought for confiscation of the properties of Nag and the transfer of the same to the State government.
DG Police, IICs of Khandagiri and Nayapalli police stations, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Enforcement Directorate and Union Home Department have been named as respondents in the PIL by the petitioner.
Nag was arrested on October 6 on charges of extorting money from several influential persons after honey-trapping them.
The Commissionerate Police had arrested Nag following a complaint by a woman at the Khandagiri police station here.
The complainant had alleged that she was trapped by Nag who managed to snap obscene pictures of her with influential persons and later blackmailed them.
