Balasore: A woman was killed on the spot and a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after their two-wheeler was knocked down by a truck on NH 16 here today. According to reports, the mishap took place near Seagada toll gate on the national highway.
Palpable tension prevailed on the spot following the tragedy. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured biker to the district headquarters hospital. A case has been registered in this connection. The body of the deceased has been sent for autopsy, said reports.
