Bhubaneswar: Plastic surgery has emerged as an essential factor in healthcare, providing life-changing solutions for various conditions, including burns, cancer, lymphedema, and cosmetic procedures. It has been addressing both functional and aesthetic needs of patients. AIIMS Bhubaneswar continues to lead in providing exemplary plastic surgery services, reinforcing the importance of advanced medical care in enhancing patients’ lives. But, more research and awareness over this sector is the need of the hour, said experts attending a special programme organised by the Department of Burns & Plastic Surgery at AIIMS Bhubaneswar to mark World Plastic Surgery Day.

This year, under the auspices of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI), a pioneering Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Week was initiated. We also successfully reimplanted forearms and fingers.”
