Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha has started evaluating the answersheets of Plus II students from today. Approximately 8,000 teachers have been assigned for the evaluation process.
According to sources, the evaluation process will be conducted in 78 centres across 30 districts in Odisha. Besides, the evaluation of examination papers will take place in two phases. The first phase will be held from April 2 to 14, where 7,000 teachers will evaluate the answer sheets. The second phase will be held from April 16 to 28, where around 8,000 teachers will be involved.
The CHSE, however, aims to complete the evaluation process by April 28. The results are expected to be announced between May 10 and 15.

Besides, in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, the board has decided to conduct the evaluation process in two shifts to ensure the comfort and well-being of the evaluators.
The evaluation sessions will be held from7:30 am to 12:30 pm (morning session) and 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm (afternoon session).
It is pertinent to mention that a total of 3.9 lakh students appeared for the Plus II board exams in arts, commerce, science, and vocational education streams.
This year, a total of 24 lakh exam papers will be evaluated online and offline. Each teacher can evaluate 30 anshwersheets within five hours every day. Additionally, to ensure transparency, the CHSE has decided to re-evaluate answer sheets with zero marks by two separate teachers
