Plus II Student Found Hanging In RD Women’s Hr Sec School Hostel Room

Bhubaneswar: The body of a Plus II second year student of Rama Devi Women’s Higher Secondary School was found hanging in her hostel room today afternoon.

According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Pragyan Mohanty. She was studying in the Plus II second year class of the Arts stream and hailed from Rayagada.

Currently, the Plus II second year exam is underway and is scheduled to end on April 5.

Since there was no exam today, Pragyan was alone in her room. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan using her stole in her hostel room.

On being informed Saheed Nagar police have recovered Pragyan’s body and have launched an investigation into the matter.

A suicide note purportedly written by Pragyan has been seized from the spot by the police.

However, the reason behind the alleged suicide was not known till the filing of this report.
