Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his grief on the demise of veteran Ollywood actor Mihir Das.
“Saddened by the demise of noted Odia actor Shri Mihir Das Ji. During his long film career, he won many hearts thanks to his creative performances. My thoughts are with his family and admirers,” read a tweet from the PM’s office.
A few days back Das was admitted to a private hospital at Cuttack after he had suffered a cardiac arrest. He was diabetic and was suffering from multi-organ failure. He was on ventilator support. Both of his kidneys had stopped functioning and he was on dialysis.
Despite all efforts by the attending doctors, he breathed his last at 3.25 PM on Tuesday. His son Amlan was by his side at the time of his death.
