Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-day ‘Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’, the flagship Global Investment Summit hosted by the state government, at the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, members of his Cabinet and top industry captains of Indian industry were present at the inaugural ceremony.
Congratulating Odisha for organising the Utkarsh Odisha on such a grand scale, Modi said, “I am told that this is the largest-ever business summit in the state and I congratulate Odisha for organising it.”
“Odisha was a leading trade hub even in the ancient times and the Bali Yatra is evidence of it. I am optimist that Odisha will surpass the glories of those days,” the Prime Minister said, adding, “This is the time and the right time to invest in Odisha.”
Modi appealed to the investors to take advantage of the minerals, ports and skilled workforce of Odisha to augment their businesses.
The Utkarsh Odisha conclave aims to position Odisha as the anchor of Purvodaya Vision, a leading investment destination and industrial hub in India.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the Make in Odisha Exhibition, which highlights the state’s achievements in developing a vibrant industrial ecosystem. The event will enable industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to converge and discuss the opportunities Odisha offers as a preferred investment destination. More than 7,500 investors from India and abroad have registered to attend the Utkarsh Odisha conclave.
