Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the permanent campus of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) at Basantpur in Sambalpur in the presence of Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Railway Minister Aswini Vaishnaw and minister Biseswar Tudu.
The newly constructed campus, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure – such as auditoriums, libraries, sports zones, incubation centres and hostels – is meticulously designed to meet the administrative, faculty and academic requirements, and emphasizes sustainability.
Modi also launched 18 other projects worth nearly Rs.69,000 crore in the Sambalpur district, of which at least Rs.58,000 crore will be for coal and power projects. He is laid foundation stone of several projects in Odisha before flying to Assam.
