Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on June 20 to attend a programme marking the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, informed Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Saturday.
Minister Suresh Pujari confirmed the visit, highlighting the significance of the Prime Minister’s presence at the event, which aims to celebrate the state government’s achievements and strengthen its relationships with the central government. During his visit, PM Modi is expected to draw considerable attention from local and national stakeholders.
According to reports, the visit, initially scheduled for June 12, was rescheduled due to the Prime Minister’s prior commitments.
Talking to mediapersons, Minister Pujari said, “The initial request was for Prime Minister Modi to visit Odisha on June 12. However, due to his prior commitments, the Prime Minister’s schedule has been revised, and he will now arrive in Odisha on June 20. Consequently, the main anniversary programme, originally planned for June 12, has been rescheduled to June 20. The final schedule of programmes to be held between June 12 and June 20 will be out by this evening, with the venue for the main program on June 20 still being finalised.”
