Bhubaneswar: Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express, the first such train passing through Odisha, will be flagged off at the Puri Railway Station on May 18, a release issued by the East Coast Railway (ECoR) said.
Earlier, the inaugural run of the semi-high-speed train was earlier scheduled for May 15 but now it has been rescheduled to May 18.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off at 12 noon on May 18.
The train is likely to have stoppages at Khurda Road Junction, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur, Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, and Balasore.
According to reports, Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will leave Howrah at 5:50 am and arrive in Puri at 11:50 am. On the return journey, it will leave Puri at 2.00 pm and reach Howrah at 7.30 pm. The train will travel 500 km in roughly 5.30 hours.
