Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a roadshow in Bhubaneswar on June 12 evening to acknowledge the people’s verdict for his party in the 2024 General Elections.
According to sources in the state unit of the BJP, the roadshow will start at Jayadev Vihar and end at Janata Maidan before the oath-taking ceremony of the new Chief Minister of Odisha. This will be Modi’s second roadshow in Odisha’s capital in less than a month.
Earlier in the day, BJP leaders here rescheduled the oath-taking ceremony of the new Chief Minister from June 10 to June 12 to enable the Prime Minister to attend the mega event. The party also rescheduled its legislative party meeting from June 10 to June 11 when it the MLAs are likely to elect their leader in the Assembly.
The BJP will form its first government in Odisha as it won 78 of the 147 Legislative Assembly seats in the recently concluded elections. In addition, the saffron party won 20 out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats of the state.
