PM Modi’s Visit: Odisha Govt Declares Half-Day Holiday In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In anticipation of heavy crowds and potential traffic disruptions due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Odisha tomorrow, the Revenue & Disaster Management Department has declared a half-day holiday on June 20 for government offices and Revenue and Magisterial courts within the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation area.

This decision is due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Odisha, which includes a public programme at Janata Maidan and a roadshow from Biju Patnaik International Airport to the event venue, expected to draw over two lakh people.

The roadshow is likely to cause significant traffic congestion along several key routes. To manage traffic flow, specific routes and parking arrangements have been designated for buses and other vehicles. Goods carriers with six or more wheelers will be diverted to avoid congestion, while emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire services will be allowed to pass through without restrictions.
