PM Modi’s Visit: Traffic Movement To Be Restricted In Bhubaneswar On Tuesday

Bhubaneswar: Traffic restrictions will be imposed in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday to strengthen the security arrangements in the capital city during the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to launch the Mohan Majhi government’s flagship Subhadra Yojana.

The Twin City Commissionerate Police have announced several traffic restrictions in Bhubaneswar on September 17 in view of the Prime Minister’s programme at Janata Maidan.

As per a notification issued by the Commissionerate Police, the traffic restrictions will be in place from 7.30 AM to 3.00 PM on Tuesday.

The traffic restrictions are as below:

  • No vehicle will be allowed to ply from Jayadev Vihar to NALCO Square and from NALCO Square to Jaydev Vihar and its connecting lanes/by-lanes.
  • Vehicles coming from Nandankanan side to go towards Jayadev Vihar will move on the following route –Damana Square – Guru Kelu Charan Park – Sainik School – Acharya Vihar or take the route via Sikharchandi – Pathargadia – DN School – Kalinga Studio Chhak – Fire Station.
  • Vehicles going from Jayadev Vihar towards Nandankanan will avail the road via Acharya Vihar – Sainik School – Guru Kelu Charan Park – Damana Square or the route Fire Station – DN School – Patharagadia – Sikharchandi.
  • Vehicles coming from Cuttack will ply on NH-316 to come towards Bhubaneswar or take the Nandankanan road.
  • All vehicles to take diversion from Behera Sahi chhak to move towards Acharya Vihar or CRPF Chhak and avoid coming to Jayadev Vihar.
  • Vehicles coming from Cuttack side will not be allowed to avail the service road from Acharya Vihar overbridge end towards Jaydev Vihar square.
  • Vehicles coming from Baramunda will not be allowed to avail the service road from Crown Hotel towards Jaydev Vihar Square.

However, these restrictions will not be applicable for emergency vehicles, such as Fire Services and ambulance.
