Sundargarh: The POCSO Court here on Saturday sentenced Mahat Munda, a resident of Chakramal village under Sundargarh Sadar police station limits, to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for repeatedly raping and impregnating a minor girl.
The court also imposed a fine of ₹20,000 on Munda.
According to case details, Mahat Munda lured the minor victim, subjected her to repeated sexual assault, and impregnated her.
When the victim sought marriage, Munda refused, leading her to file a complaint with the Sundargarh Sadar police.
Acting swiftly, the police arrested Munda and produced him before the court, which conducted a thorough trial culminating in the recent judgment.
