Bhubaneswar: Laxmisagar police arrested four more accused in connection with the Chintamaniswar murder case.
Police raided a lodge in Cuttack and arrested the four accused.
Police on Monday had arrested two persons including the prime accused in connection with the murder of a youth identified as Anjan Behera.
Sources said, Anjan was a friend of Goutam who was in a relationship with a girl. Goutam along with Anjan had gone to meet the girl after attending a party on March 15 night. Pinku, another lover of the girl, attacked Goutam with a sword while he was talking with his lover. In a bid to save Goutam, Anjan suffered critical injuries.
He was immediately rushed to the Capital Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The main accused Kanha Pradhan alias Pinku was arrested along with his girlfriend identified as Niharika.
Anjan’s mother filed a complaint at the Laxmisagar Police Station.
