Police Inspector Shoots Self In Koraput, Hospitalised

Koraput: In a shocking incident, a police inspector working at the district police headquarters here today shot himself with his service revolver leaving him critically injured. The injured inspector has been shifted to a hospital at Visakhapatnam in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

According to reports, inspector Narendra Biswal, who is posted at the district police headquarters here suddenly shot at himself from his service revolver inside the office premises. The bullet has hit him on the left side of his face.

Biswal was initially rushed to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College & Hospital here. He has been later shifted to a hospital in Visakhapatnam as his health condition deteriorated.

However, the reason behind Biswal’s shooting himself is not known yet.
