Police Officer In Rourkela Jumps Into Pond, Saves Youth From Drowning

Bhubaneswar: A police officer in Rourkela has earned praise from everyone after saving a young man from drowning in a pond.

According to reports, Sub-Inspector Sinmay Bal, stationed at Plantsite police station, jumped into the pond on Thursday night and rescued the youth, who had accidentally fallen into the water.

The incident occurred at a pond in Gopabandhupalli under Plantsite police station. Local residents alerted the police, and SI Bal rushed to the scene. Despite the darkness, he bravely jumped into the pond and managed to pull the youth to safety.

The officer’s quick thinking and selfless act have been widely praised, with many hailing him as a true hero. The rescued youth was grateful for the officer’s timely intervention, which saved his life.
