Bhubaneswar: The officer-in-charge of Baideshwar police station in Cuttack district was transferred to SP office after a photo showing him assaulting a biker went viral.
A viral photo on social media shows OIC Priyadarshan Sethi pushing a biker to the ground on Baideshwar T-Bridge and talking on her mobile phone while placing one leg on his back. At that time, the bike was lying there and another youth was seen kneeling on it.
It is said that the incident happened a few days ago. Baideshwar police station was patrolling near the T-Bridge at night.
Police station officer Priyadarshan Sethi was present there himself. At that time, he stopped two youths riding a bike. There was an argument between them. Sethi and another police officer allegedly beat them up. The OIC then threw one person to the ground, placed his leg on him, and threatened him by showing a gun from his pocket.
Reports said that the two persons were accused in some cases.
