Bhubaneswar: Police have reportedly picked up Jagabandhu Chand, the husband of accused Archana Nag in connection with the extortion and blackmailing case.
Chand was picked up from his Satya Vihar residence in Bhubaneswar today morning. He is said to be the mastermind behind the crime.
Nag was arrested on October 6 on charges of extorting money from several influential persons after honey-trapping them.
The Commissionerate Police had arrested Nag following a complaint by a woman at the Khandagiri police station here.
The complainant had alleged that she was trapped by Nag who managed to snap obscene pictures of her with influential persons and later blackmailed them.
