Sambalpur: Police recovered bombs from a ganja-laden vehicle on Sambalpur–Jharsuguda road on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Thelkoloi Police Station limits in the border area of Sambalpur and Jharsuguda was patrolling the area when they saw some people changing a deflated tyre of a vehicle near Khinda. Seeing the police team the driver of the vehicle and others fled the spot. This created suspicion and the cops searched the vehicle.
During the search, they detected three bombs hidden below the contraband. The bomb squad was and they deactivated the bombs.
Till reports last came in, search and investigation were underway.
