Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Thursday recovered the severed head of the woman whose decapitated body was found on February 4 on Daspur-Andharua road under Chandaka police limits.
Soon after the Commissionerate Police was successful in identifying the woman, two suspects nabbed by the police were taken to the crime spot for recreation of the murder scene.
The head was found around two kilometres away from the spot where her body had been found. It will be sent for post-mortem and DNA profiling will be conducted to ensure it belongs to the headless body.
Reportedly, the woman’s identity was established through her digitized fingerprints that had been collected to search the database of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
