Bhubaneswar: Police recovered the blood-stained body of a youth lying on the roadside in Chanua village under Basta police limits of Odisha’s Balasore district on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, local villagers spotted the body lying in a pool of blood near Chanua Primary School in Balasore district and informed the Basta police.
The deceased has been ascertained as Prithviraj Pan, a resident of Jagatsinghpur in Odisha. He has been staying in a rented house in the area under Basta police limits and was employed at a mobile tower in the region.
On being informed, Basta police reached the spot with a scientific team and launched an investigation.
The body has been sent for autopsy and the family members of the deceased have been informed.
