Bhubaneswar: Police have recovered a suicide note from the belongings of Abinash Pradhan, who had been found in a half-burnt condition on Sikharchandi hill in Bhubaneswar and had succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital on Wednesday.
DCP Prateek Singh informed that Abinash (22), a resident of Balipada village in Nandankanan area, had been found in a burning condition by one person who reported the matter at Infocity Police Station.
The staff present at the station responded immediately and Abinash was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition. After he succumbed to his injuries, an unnatural death was registered and a probe was initiated into the matter.
His family members suspected that Abinash was murdered. However, during the search of the area, police recovered a personal bag of Abinash that was identified by his family members.
A suicide note was found inside the bag. Abinash’s father identified the handwriting. In the note, Abinash has written in detail about the reason for his suicide. However, the probe is underway and further steps will be taken based on the post-mortem report.
The suicide note suggests that Abinash was under stress for some reason and took the extreme step because of it, said Singh.
