Bhubaneswar: A team of Chandbali police on Wednesday carried out raids at multiple places in the city in connection with the kidnapping and murder case of cameraman Manas Swain.
According to reports, the police conducted searches at the office of Sampurna Web Channel and Magazine, which was owned by the prime accused in this case, Sarmista Rout. The office has been sealed by the police, reports added.
While the Crime Branch has taken over the investigation of this case, searches have been intensified to trace Sarmista and her associate who are on the run. Meanwhile, the Chandbali police arrested Sarmista’s brother Parameswar on Wednesday. He has been sent to judicial custody.
