Bhadrak: Police have seized over one quintal fake zarda (chewable tobacco) from a counterfeit zarda manufacturing unit in Puruna Bazar area here today.
Acting on a tip-off about the illegal activity, Puruna Bazar police raided a fake zarda manufacturing unit in Puruna Bazar area itself leading to the seizure of one quintal and two hundred gram counterfeit zarda.
However, the persons involved in the illegal activity managed to flee the spot, informed Bhadrak City DSP Anshuman Dwibedy briefing reporters here today.
