**Bhubaneswar: ** In a bid to maintain safety and security of the airport and its passengers inside the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Odisha Government in collaboration with the BPIA authorities is going to introduce the second police station very soon on the airport premises.
Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Y B Khurania said, “The building for a second police station in the airport has already been constructed, but it will take a period of two months for furnishing. We are trying to complete it as soon as possible.”
“We are going to enforce traffic police in the airport since there were no traffic police deployed at the airport previously and will introduce the pre-paid taxi soon after,” the Police Commissioner also stated.
He also informed that they cannot fill up all the ASI and SI posts at a time, but will try to give adequate manpower to the airport police station as and when required.
