Poll Violence In Odisha: BJD Worker Stabbed In Balasore, Critical

Balasore: In a shocking incident, a worker of the ruling Biju Janata Dal was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon by a worker of rival party at Uparadia village under Bahanaga block here late last night.

 

Reportedly, the victim Prashant Barik was on his way to fetch posters for a party meeting when he was attacked. On sustaining crucial injuries, Prashant was first rushed to a hospital in Soro and later shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH).

While Prashant is currently undergoing treatment, Soro police have begun an investigation into the matter.

It is notable to mention here that Balasore Parliamentary Seat is going to poll in the fourth phase- April 29.
