**Nabrangpur:** Yet again, due to poor road condition, an expecting mother was taken on a cot from Bagabeda village under Jahringa block here on Saturday early morning.
The woman has been identified as Hunda Santa.
As per reports, the pregnant woman got labour pain at around midnight but due to heavy rain and poor road conditions, 102 ambulance could not reach her. Getting no other option, her husband Lachana Santa and other villagers were forced to carry the expecting mother on a cot.
She was carried for about 2 km where the ambulance was waiting for her. But on her way, the woman gave birth to a baby boy. Later, the mother-son duo was admitted at Jharigan Community Health Centre (CHC).
Both the mother and baby are stated to be fine.
