Baripada: The State Government on Saturday took serious note of Power outages during President Droupadi Murmu’s address at the convocation ceremony of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (MSCBU) in Baripada today.
Shortly after the commencement of the President’s speech, the power supply got snapped. The President delivered her speech in the light fitted on the podium.
There was a power outage for several minutes during Murmu’s address. However, the President was unperturbed despite the disruption in the power supply.
President Murmu was unperturbed and went on with her speech. Following this incident, the RDC Central Division called an emergency meeting.
Mayurbhanj Collector said that inquiry will be conducted and action will be initiated. Shortly later, an employee of the Electricity wing of the varsity was suspended.
