Bhubaneswar: Odisha Sahitya Akademi’s highest honour, the Jagannath Das Award, will be presented to senior Odia writers on Monday. Several prominent writers would also be felicitated on the occasion. Pratibha Rai will receive the highest Jagannath Das Award for the year 2021, while Sitakanth Mahapatra will be awarded the Jagannath Das Award for the year 2022.
Similarly, Srinivas Udgata will receive the award for 2023. All of them will be given a prize money of Rs 5 lakh. Forty-five people will be honoured on this occasion. Each will receive a prize money of Rs 1 lakh.
The awards will be presented at a function organized at Rabindra Mandap in Bhubaneswar on Monday evening.
