Puri: Ahead of phase-IV polls in Odisha, violence has cropped up its ugly head today as BJP’s candidate from Kakatpur Assembly constituency Rabi Mallick was allegedly detained and attacked by miscreants during campaigning at Srirampur village.
Reportedly, the incident occurred last night, when Mallick was on his way back home from campaigning. He was manhandled by miscreants following whiche, he filed a complaint at Kakatpur police station. Further probe into the matter is currently underway.
It is notable to mention here that Kakatpur under Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha seat is going to polls in fourth phase of elections scheduled on April 29 (Monday).
